#42 & 43–blank page with no numbers in book–when Eggleston freed Ellenor in preceding instance he also freed as per the will her two children named Nelson and Maria. Nelson was numbered #43 aged 11 months old, according to a copy of his register entered in Ross County Ohio [see Joan Turpin, Register of Black, Mulatto and Poor Persons in Four Ohio Counties, 1791-1861 (1985) p. 25–see too p. 22 for other family members]. Maria, who would have been older, was probably number #42, and presumably died, since Ellenor and her husband Nelson had another daughter named Maria born ca 1815. See #119 below. The family left for Ohio in 1817 after Nelson, purchased and then freed in 1816 by Ellenor, was denied permission to remain in Virginia.

Coverly provides that Esther [#213 above] and the others live in the home place until they have to leave and provides for the purchase of land in North Carolina for them]
