No. 20, Zachariah Howell, a dark Mulato man, five feet six inches and half high, 23 years old January 1815. Son of Mat Howell and wife Peggy Howell free Mulatos born free and lived in the County of Nottoway & Amelia. The said Mat is now dead and Peggy Howell now lives in the County of Charlotte, and the sd Zachariah Howell was born in the County of Charlotte and now lives in the said County, and is a Bricklayer by trade & served his apprenticeship with William Phariss. Registered 18th day of June 1814.
No. 21, Isaac Jackson, a Black looking man, five feet six & half inches high 67 years of age Sep. 1815. Son of Dorcas Jackson a free Mulato born free & Lived in Prince Edward & Charlotte and has lately Removed to Halifax, a Carpenter & Weever by trade. registered 18 August 1815.
no. 22, Matthew Howell a dark Mulato man six feet high about 31 years old, Son of Peggy Howell a free Mulato. he was born in Nottoway and lived upwards of 18 years, a ditcher by Trade. Registered the 30th of August 1815.
p.4, no. 23, Eldrige a Negro man of a dark Complection, 5 feet 1/2 inches high... about 27 years old born in the County of Sussex, and Emancipated by John Carter as appears from the Certificate of the Clerk of Sussex Court dated 10 Nov. 1813. Registered 3 January 1817.
No. 24, Julius a Black man five feet four and a half inches high, appears to be about sixty years of age, Says he was born in African and brought to this Country and sold as a slave to William Rawlins and emancipated by the will of the said William Rawlins dated the 17th June 1793 and Recorded in Charlotte 7th September 1793. Registered 15th day of November 1817.
No. 25, Sam Evans, a free man of yellow Complection five feet three inches and five eighths high aged forty seven years Emancipated by the County Court of Prince Edward. Registered 17 day of Decmr 1817.
No. 26, Henry Cozens a mulatto man five feet four inches high Twenty seven years of age son of Jacob Cozens and Suckey his wife free persons of Colour residing in the County of Charlotte when the said Henry Cozens was born. Registered 9th day of Decmr 1818.
